Why Travel to QCHR?
Whether you travel to QCHR or another facility, don't let travel costs be the determining factor in selecting your board certified hair transplant surgeon. Select your hair restoration surgeon and facility based on experience and qualifications, not location. When you compare the costs, travel expenses are small compared to the confidence of selecting a qualified and experienced hair replacement surgeon. If you want to schedule a consultation, we can help you make the arrangements.
Arrange a Trip to QCHR
Contact our office at (585) 244-0323 or (888) 334-HAIR or Contact Us. If you want a call back, please let us know your phone number and the best time to contact you.
When you are ready to schedule a hair transplant consultation, our Patient Care Coordinator offers experienced travel assistance including help with lodging and travel arrangements. She will answer your questions and provide specific information such as how long you should stay in Rochester, transfer to and from the airport and any other details to make your trip easy and comfortable.
Travel Reimbursement
The QCHR will reimburse travel expenses if you travel over 100 miles for your hair transplant procedure. Travel expenses that are covered include gas, tolls, airfare and hotel up to 10% of the surgical fee not to exceed $500. Receipts and tickets are required to receive reimbursement. Please contact our patient coordinator for further details.
Accommodations
Accommodations are comfortable and convenient for QCHR clients. The Strathallan, located "just down the street" provides upscale, affordable accommodations for hair restoration patients. For guests without the benefit of family or friends in the Rochester area, our staff will be happy to assist you with arrangements for a smooth, restful experience following your hair replacement procedure. Most patients stay in Rochester about a week following hair restoration surgery.
So, whether you are traveling just across town or from far away, one click on Location provides directions to navigate Rochester from every direction. Just give a call and we'll "accompany" you right to our door.
YOUR Photo Analysis
Before coming to the Quatela Center for Hair Restoration some patients request feedback on their photographs. If you wish to send photos by email or postal mail, make sure photos are of the highest resolution. It's a good idea to send a duplicate photo since unfortunately we can not guarantee return of photographs. Please include specific details on what you would like to correct or improve. One of our physicians will review your photos and our Patient Care Coordinator will contact you.
For your protection, we must offer a word of caution. Whether from QCHR or elsewhere, a telephone call from a physician or staff member based on your photographs should not be taken as medical advice. No photograph or telephone discussion can replace a face-to-face consultation with a physician. Although we want to help in any way we can - and in that spirit provide feedback and suggestions based on your photograph - the information given has inherent limitations. Feedback provided to you based on your photographs is done so without the benefit of all the information required to make an informed opinion of what would be the best course of action for you.

Confidentiality
Confidentiality is so important at the Quatela Center for Hair Restoration. Recently a polling group not hired by or associated with QCHR performed an independent study. When people were randomly asked about QCHR, our compliance with confidentiality was one of their top responses. Although many of our patients are readily recognizable, you will never know that they received care at QCHR. Whether you visit us for cosmetic, reconstructive surgery or nonsurgical treatment, confidentiality is always our top priority.
Accreditations
We are proud of our national accreditation with the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery and the American Association for Ambulatory Healthcare (AAAHC). But what do these certifications mean to you?
First it means that patient safety and welfare are our first priority. The AAAHC performs frequent inspections. We must continually demonstrate that we maintain the highest standards of care as set by the AAAHC. It also means that the highest national level for ambulatory surgery centers approves of our standards of care. We voluntarily submit to AAAHC inspections to assure us we are doing everything in our power to make each patient's experience the best it can be.
Because we are an AAAHC accredited facility we are able to attract highly skilled and experienced staff. We have more control over scheduling to meet individual patient needs. We maintain a facility that truly is state-of-the-art with equipment and supplies that are routinely inspected for safety and quality to make sure your procedure goes smoothly. Wherever you elect to obtain your care, be sure that it has a system of inspections by an outside agency (such as AAAHC) that sets the standard of care at the highest national level.
Insurance Coverage/Financing
At the time of your free consultation, we will assess your unique needs and quote a price to meet your individual objectives. Although hair transplantation is a substantial investment the results are permanent and may be less expensive than other hair loss treatments when factored over a lifetime. The improvement in self-image and confidence is well worth the cost for most people.
Hair replacement surgery - sometimes considered a luxury for the wealthy - is actually more frequently sought by middle income patients. We are happy to discuss our fees with you at any time. To discuss costs just Contact Us or call (888) 334-HAIR or (585) 244-0323. At that time, we can also share information on financing plans.
We accept most major insurances for payment of medical procedures. Hair restoration procedures are typically not covered by insurance. If you are considering coming to the Quatela Center for Hair Restoration, Contact Us to receive information about our fees or any additional information. Payment for hair restoration services is required in advance. In addition to Visa and MasterCard we also provide a variety of financing options including the Cosmetic Fee Plan with low monthly payments and low fixed interest rates.

What plastic surgery does not do....
The fact that an advertisement containing "before" and "after" photographs shows a dramatic improvement doe not necessarily mean that every patient will have an improved outcome, nor does it mean that all plastic surgeons will be able to achieve that outcome.
The reason for this is that people's bodies are different, and the same surgery can achieve a very different result on one person that it does on another.
It is also important to know that within the field of plastic surgery the skills required for various kinds of operations differ widely. Thus, the plastic surgeon who may be able to achieve a successful result for one kind of problem may not be able to do so for another.
In evaluating plastic surgeons, the following criteria are not relevant to making the right decision:
1. The price charged.
2. The diplomas earned or the societies to which the surgeon belongs.
3. The hospital where the surgeon has privileges.
4. The location of the practice.
5. What he says to you concerning his experience.
On the other hand, his ability to show you through photographs results he has obtained for his patients, as well as reports of satisfied patients are important.
The photographs shown on this website are intended to be examples of work performed by Lindsay House Surgeons and Staff unless otherwise noted and will provide you with some opportunity to evaluate outcome. The purpose of the photographs is to show you what some patients have been unable to achieve under some circumstances. It remains important, however, for each patient to temper his or her optimism and expectation with the reality that despite best efforts, good outcomes are not always attainable.
The most important part of the process of deciding whether or not to undergo a procedure is the conversation you have with the surgeon after he has evaluated your case. The physician should provide you with the benefits and potential risks, as well as the limitations of any proposed surgery.
The purpose of this section of the website is not to provide you with specific medical advice. The purpose is, however, to assist you in selecting the right surgeon and in realizing the risks and benefits of any elective procedure, such as plastic surgery.
We think it is important to understand the limitations as well as the potential benefits of plastic surgery. Most patients have unrealistic expectations concerning the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure. The outcome rarely lives up to the patient's hopes and expectations. All operations have a downside potential. As with many choices throughout life, the decision on having plastic surgery should be made after weighing whether the benefits of the surgery outweigh the risks and the potential downside.
