Eyebrow Transplants

After years of excessive eyebrow trimming as a teenager, my eyebrows just stopped growing.  Since then, I had been using make-up to cover up my eyebrow hair loss.  Makeup was not very convenient because it washed off so easily and made it extremely difficult to do activities such as swimming.

When I heard that Dr. Quatela was offering hair transplants in the eyebrow area, I was absolutely thrilled.  I couldn't have been happier to hear that there was finally a solution for my hair loss.  I didn't even know it existed!

I immediately schedule my appointment with Dr. Quatela and went ahead with the procedure.  It was fairly painless.  The only thing I felt was a little pressure when the hair was being placed.  I actually slept through most of it.

Dr. Quatela emphasized that the hair would initially fall out but would eventually grow back again.   I am currently three months out and have only lost a few hairs.  I am so happy with the results of my eyebrow transplants.  They are completely full and could not look more natural.  No one would ever know they weren't original!

Female Hair Restoration


Since the age of 18, I have been battling with female pattern hair loss. It has always been a very difficult subject for me because it is clearly less socially acceptable for females to have thinning/balding hair. For years, I attempted to disguise my hair loss with scarves, hats and headbands and tried to slow the process by using Rogaine. In contemplating having a hair transplant procedure, I was trying to weigh the benefits against the cost and the negatives.  After having completed three sessions, I can honestly say that I have never been happier with a
choice in my life. Dr. Quatela & his staff were phenomenal. They framed my face in the first session to focus attention to my face instead of my balding head. I am now a couple of years from my third session and my self confidence and esteem are so much higher than they were prior to my procedures. I was never comfortable with baldness, and like most men, thought about wigs and other alternatives, but there is no other choice that is natural, forever lasting and requires no maintenance other than haircuts like the one I chose.  I will never regret having it done.

Dear Dr. Quatela:

I would like to thank you and your hair staff personnel for making my hair transplant procedure a happy and enjoyable experience.  Everyone from the front office staff to the hair transplant technicians were nothing but professional and eager to make me comfortable in any way.

The anxiety I initially had about the procedure was quickly calmed.  The DVD's and TV were a welcomed bonus.  It was quite nice to have something to occupy my time, for the 9 1/2 hours I was there.  It seemed like I was done before I realized the amount of hours that had passed.

You should be very proud of your staff.  Everything that was being done was explained in detail.  If I had additional questions, they were addressed in a quick and simple matter.  I was never uncomfortable with the work that had to be done to get me through the hair transplant process.  I even have some small growth coming in already!!

Hair Restoration for Male with Hair Plugs

About 20 years ago, I underwent a hair replacement procedure that used plug grafts.  Initially, the results were satisfactory; however as time progressed and more hair loss occurred the grafts became increasingly more non esthetic and unacceptable.  It became difficult to mask the grafts and hair loss.

I was pleased to discover that Dr. Quatela, with eighteen years of experience would be able to use newer and advanced micro-graft procedures to provide additional hair and modify old "plugs".  He would remove, separate and reuse the plugs so that they were no longer visible.  New micro-grafts would be used to fill areas adjacent to the old "plugs".

Several surgical procedures were needed to accomplish a wonderful esthetic result.   I now have a full head of hair with a natural hairline appropriate for my age.  I am able to comb my hair straight back without having to attempt to mask grafted plugs.

The surgical experiences were easy, painless and comfortable.  Dr. Quatela's staff is friendly, courteous, professional and caring.  There were only positive experiences.

I am pleased with the end result and would recommend this procedure to anyone whose hair has thinned out, whose hairline has deteriorated or anyone with old unaesthetic "plug grafts" and chooses to be reconstructed to a full head of hair with a natural hairline that they would be proud of.
